Hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek are paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.

Hours worked beyond 12 in a workday are paid at twice the regular rate.

Seventh consecutive day
On the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek, the first 8 hours are paid at 1.5 times the regular rate and any hours beyond 8 at twice the regular rate.

Exempt employees
Employees who qualify for an exemption, including earning at least the exempt salary threshold and meeting the duties test, aren't owed overtime.
